Obama and the Prophets

in false, politics, prophecy

Updated: Scott Walkington is officially a false prophet.January 20, 2009 | 12:07pm

Scott Walkington has about 3 hours before I label him a false prophet. Below is a letter that was handed to me a few weeks ago. I had heard about it a laughed. The "prophecy" displays the typical characteristics of many false prophets; doom and gloom centralized around America (its not about america), revelation that is only given to one person, convenient statements (like saying they knew something would happen after it happened), and bad grammar.

Will you Pray for Obama?

in politics

Barack Obama has just been announced as the winner of the presidential election. It has been a long campaign and frankly I'm tired of hearing about it all. I wasn't a fan of either candidate and often said that I already have a king.

My Vote of Protest

in politics

This morning I woke up bright and early to express my rights as an American through voting. It is no secret that I am less than thrilled about the selection for President, but I made my choice.

Hilary and Prophecy

in politics

Neither I nor by prophet beard support the following prophecy.

I got an email this week that had gone through a chain of pastors. It stated that Joe Biden will step down from Obama's ticket due to health problem. Hilary will then be appointed as the new vice presidential candidate for the republican ticket.

There is also a "prophetic message" from a known prophetic preacher moving about that a woman will come to power and run the country into the ground. This "message" was given earlier this year, maybe last year.

Of course when Hilary didn't win the nomination I was ready to scream "false prophet." Other Christians believed that Obama would pick Oprah as a running mate and she would cause the damage.

Then Sarah Palin shows up. She is most likely to be the second vice-president to shoot someone in the face. I thought perhaps the prophecy may be true. She is naive enough to get into trouble. She could do so while using the "God's Will" approach. People will believe because of her pentecostal ties.

Of course the prophecy wasn't being talked about until the rumor of Hilary stepping up. According to the email, it will happen in the beginning of October. We'll see.

Here is another thing to think about. The prophetic preacher who talked about the "dangerous woman" also predicted an economic collapse before the end of the year. I heard him predict it in early summer 2008. Granted, an economic collapse isn't a hard leap.
