About
Christianity has its own culture.
Christianity has sometimes ignored other culture.
Sometimes Christianity struggles within its own culture.
Sometimes it doesn’t engage other culture.
There is a constant give and take within the cultures and the faith, and finding balance is hardly easy. We try to understand our faith and this is happening in front of everyone. There are very public debates, debacles, and dichotomies.
Welcome to my internal conflict.
CVC started as a very angry podcast about the problems with mainline Christianity. It dealt with issue from the car salesmen approach to televangelism to issues of theology. The show had a good audience and plenty of people who could relate.
The problem with such a context is that it relies on being angry. After a while the anger subdued and issues of theology and issues around it took focus.
CVC has had a love/hate relationship evangelicals and emerging philosophies. The ideas here are never static.
CVC has evolved into a sounding board that using satire, wit, and silliness. Ocassionally it gets serious, but we’re here to have some fun and maybe take something away.
